  • Farm Finance Topics

    Farm Finance Basics

    Saturdays, January 10- February 21 

    Developed for people who are actively involved in a farm business or planning to be, this series of classes will tackle and untangle the financial side of farming. Seven classes include: Intro to Farm Finance, Accounting Principles, The Financial Statements, The Financial Ratios, Drafting your Business Plan, Business Plan Review, and What are Lenders Looking For?

    Classes meet in person on the Salem Campus from 9 am-Noon. 

    Cost: FREE! Thanks to grant funding.

    Undertanding Farm Contracts

    January 28 | 9 am-10:30am

    Join local attourney, Matt Sturzen, as he walks through what he wished people knew about farm contracts. This workshop will focus on easements, leases and other person-to-person contracts.

    Spring Break classes will be offered on the Salem Campus. Section 1: March 23 & 24, Section 2: March 25 & 26. All classes will require online coursework work prior to the driving skills days.

  • WOMEN IN HORTICULTURE

    WOMEN IN HORTICULTURE

    March 15, 2025, 8:30am-2pm

    Our annual event celebrates the contributions of women to the horticulture industry. All our successful women this year had their educational paths go through community college and technical institutes. Lunch is provided and a full panel of speakers will provide inspiration and plant knowledge. 

    Cost $5 to help offset costs.

    Continuing Students

    You are a continuing student if you have ever taken classes at Chemeketa before

    • Log in to My Chemeketa 
      • If you don't know your username and password, look it up here
    • Click on "Registration" in the box on right
    • Register for class using the CRN or the "Class Search" tool
    • Pay for class by clicking on "Account" in the box on right

    New Students

    • Email and request a registration form or download the PDF.
      • Confirmation email and payment instructions will be sent upon receiving the completed registration form

    Payment

    Once you've registered you have 10 working days to make financial arrangements for payment of your class fees or you will be charged a $25 fee. Additional $25 late fees will be applied to accounts 30 days or more overdue (maximum late fees of $75 per term will be charged).
